Uralochka Overwhelms its Opponents at All-Russia Summer Spartakiad for Sporting Schools

Zlatoust team Uralochka has won a convincing victory at 2012 All-Russia Summer Spartakiad for sporting schools in Saransk, press service for the regional Ministry of Sport reports.

13-year-old Zlatoust water polo players have won four out of seven shutout games, including the final, having scored 50 goals to Penza region team, 34 goals to the team of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug and 35 goals to Rostov region team in the course of the tournament and 38 in the semi-finals.

Italy and Greece – Russia’s Main Competitors in its Group

Draw ceremony for the U19 European Women’s Water Polo Championships was held in Hungary on May 26. The event itself, as mentioned before, will take place in the South Urals capital on September 9-16, 2012. The draw established 11 teams to participate in the European Championships.

Group А: Spain, Hungary, the Netherlands, France and Germany.

Group B: Russia, Italy, Greece, Great Britain, Ukraine and Turkey.
