Chelyabinsk Citizens Choose Name for Euro-2012 Mascot

Residents of the Chelyabinsk region have chosen the name for the U19 European Women’s Water Polo Championships mascot – the sunny girl-ball will be called Uralochka.

Online voting was held at the official website of the Championships. The highest number of points (43%) got name Uralochka. The sunny girl-ball also could be called Zlata (34%) or Polya (23%).

The merchandise with the symbols of the upcoming event can be bought at the official website of the Championships. A full range of memorabilia includes T-shirts, caps, pens, magnets, mugs and key rings.
